First Quarter Nonprofit Partner Spotlight: Murfreesboro Cold Patrol

We are excited to introduce Murfreesboro Cold Patrol as our partnering nonprofit for the first quarter of 2020!!

The organization began serving our community in 2014 as a coordinated effort to 'patrol' during the coldest nights of the year to look for + protect those experiencing homelessness from exposure-caused injuries + death. On nights temperature drops below 32 degrees, they open shelters as a place to stay warm + escape the cold. They also provide resources to survive like socks, hates, sleeping bags, tents, etc.

Every year, in January, a point-in-time count is conducted which estimates the number of people experiencing homelessness in Murfreesboro. Last year, approximately 500 people were unhoused right here in our community. Murfreesboro Cold Patrol conducts well-being checks to local camps, abandoned houses, bridges, etc. and makes sure folks are aware of resources and programs they may qualify for. The also partners with other local nonprofits to help make a difference in the community by offering resources + friendship to those in need.

10% of all online sales, this quarter, will be donated to Murfreesboro Cold Patrol; as well as 5% of all wholesale orders. We also are going to design a collaboration piece exclusively for them + donate 50% of those proceeds. Help us give back.

For more info, visit + make sure to follow them on social media to keep up with the great things they are doing in the community + see how you can help!
